About Chalcitis

Treasure Hunters

Chalcitis is a currently a Crowfall exclusive guild. We are a PvX-oriented treasure hunting guild. We welcome those who are passionate about Crowfall and people with preference on tactical and group gaming. We seek players who are into unity, who strive for victory, and Chalcitis is made so everyone here can enjoy Crowfall and our times together; to build a treasure hunter familia.

As a starter we expect to see players who are active and are willing to look for new ideas in PvP and also open for suggestions. We expect our members to be facing challenges all the time and able to accept defeat. As a treasure hunting guild, we love to hunt for treasure and demolish enemy teams and take their treasure and if you like treasure, tactical PvP, and you love Crowfall, you are one of us.

Guild Structure

Chalcitis differs from other guilds as we utilize the squadron system. We encourage guild mates to team up and establish firm relationships with their friends (in real life), family members, or even in game friends.

Squadrons will have a squadron leader who reports directly under the guild leader and vice-leaders and a selected view officers. Depending on their preference, squadrons leaders can report the advancement of enemy troops (scouting) or scavenge and map out the POIs with crafting materials and relics (scavenging and mapping). This allows an overall update for the guild while allowing individual squads to do things at their own pace.

In regular campaign sessions, squadrons will leave in a bundle of 3-4 squadrons where they will be within a certain radius between each other on the map. During major attacks or outbreak, squadrons can break and combine for easier strategy executions.

Communication

Chalcitis uses Discord for communication purposes. Discord is a free to use app that can be downloaded on many platforms.

Our Discord channels will consist of a main channel for all, registration channel, and a channel for each rank of officers. Communication tool covers our usage for strategy meetings and event announcement so it's suggested to keep up with updates on Discord.

Communication is a requirement for all members of Chalcitis. Scheduled voice calls will be updated in the events blog which can be found in the Wikibox section. For communication between squadrons, it is required for squadron leaders to either convey the message through text or squadron channels.

RECRUIT, Squadron leader, GENERAL

Recruit
This position applies to all who have been officially accepted to Chalcitis and completed the trial. A recruit may wish to go under any branch under combat, crafting, exploration, and community to rank up to an officer. Despite the position a recruit may wish to develop into, it is mandatory for a recruit to be in a squadron under the command of a squadron leader.

Squadron Leader
The first responsibility of a squadron leader is having secured a squadron. Squadron members are either handpicked by squadron leaders or squadron leader can be chosen among a group that wants to become a squadron. A squadron leader receives order directly from generals unless the squadron is on solo duties. Squadron leaders like recruits may go under any branch under crafting, combat, trading, or specialists to rank up to an officer.

General
Generals are appointed among veteran squadron leaders during coop duties between squadrons. A general is appointed when the squadron leader stood out in an operation, or has gained more experience in campaigns through frequent coop duty participation. A general although being a squadron leader is given authority above crafting, combat, and trading specialists and may not become an officer in other fields since "General" is an extremely high-ranked position.

Squadron FAQ

1. How do Squadrons operate?
Squadron is the formation feature that Chalcitis uses in combat. A squadron consists of 4-5 people and depending on the preference of each squadron, the role for each squadron can vary greatly. A squadron has the choice to operate alone on missions or more commonly operate in groups of squadrons. Coordination between different types of squadrons usually proves to be most efficient. For an example, one can have a tank squad that provides protection for a ranged dps squad as the dps squad deals massive damage to the enemy. Combos may be created as however the squadrons see fit. With cordiality, it is much easier to direct an army on a battlefield with helps of Squadron Leaders. As the role of leadership is divided down, the line of commands will be passed down more fluently.

2. How does one squadron differ from another?
A squadron is basically a way for players to achieve the type of play styles they desire. Squadron leaders can discuss with their teammates regarding what they desire for their squadron. A squadron can  have no coordination but great individual strength. Or they can choose to rely on tactics and creating combos using advantages of each archetype. Squadrons may also choose different roleplay themes such as head hunters, or pirates depending on what they desire for the squadron. Lastly, squadrons are given a label depending on the theme of the squadron (i.e. tank squadron -> a squadron that specialize in defending allies on the frontline).

3. What are some of the things a squadron can prove beneficial?
One of the advantages of operating in squadrons is that there is high adaptability for squadrons and players may choose to join squadron with their ideals. Squadron is a system that revolves around the players and help them create the style they desire in our guild. As listed above, squadrons differ from each others by having labels, different themes, and different play styles. Not only can players adapt to their squadrons with ease, squadrons can also adapt with other squadrons. For example, a tank squadron is in need of a team of support classes that will sustain them in battle, it is easier to find which squadron is compatible for this job by looking for a squadron that specialize in support. Squadron system is set up so smaller cells can operate fluently without breaking apart.
